This project was done in collaboration with Haley Kidder for a school project.
An interface is a point where two systems, subjects, organizations or people can meet and interact. It is about communication. With the development of information technology, this definition has come to encompass our interaction with a screen. But this is not the only interface.
ɪntərfes, as a publication utilizing both print and digital, is interested in the way ideas are communicated and shared. Design is a form of communication. It is a sociocultural factor moving society both forward and back.
Drawing on historical texts that explore the methods and implications of design, ɪntərfes examines how society is shaped by this medium. Each ɪntərfes issue applies different historical texts to contemporary culture, covering a wide range of topics, a specific occurrence or phenomenon.
